| Honest and trustworthy, the translation of "zonta" from Lakota Sioux Indian. With intent passion for those ideals, Zonta was founded in 1919 in Buffalo, New York by a single woman, Marian de Forest. Through her dedication and leadership, Zonta International has grown to over 33,000 members, in 1,254 clubs & 67 countries to realize a role far beyond Ms. de Forest's founding ideals. |

Chartered in 1997, the Loudoun County Club of Zonta International continues the united effort providing direct benefit to both local and international women and children. We address such issues as women's economic self-sufficiency, legal equality, access to education and heath, and the eradication of violence. Members enjoy diverse hands-on service participation and fundraising activities that contribute across the street and around the world. |
